Adobe After Effects

I've been playing around with After Effects.  It is a computer special effects program.  And it's EPIC!  I've twiddled with a picture of my nephew and a very small 6 second video.

A set back...

So I have been spending most of my time as of late applying for work.  Obviously, I am currently unemployed and am in need of currency to sustain myself and my family.

But when I'm not looking for work, I've been either painting miniatures or working on my next project;  A stop motion video.  I hope to create a series of them, the first of many to come.  I have the first scene's audio done, but haven't yet began shooting pictures.  My children keep my time wrapped up most of the time;  changing diapers, preparing food, playing with trains or cars, and watching movies.  Can't complain about that!  It's great spending so much time with them.

But there have been some set backs with the Campaign for Iax II.  My opponent needs a break from WH40K.  Which is completely understandable.  So we've put the campaign on hold for the time being. I have started another campaign with a Necron player.  We've played one battle and I'll be posting the results and rules soon.

Until then... The Emperor Protects.

Campaign for Iax II: An update

I am going to add another addition to the campaign rules.  It will be a strategic retreat or withdrawal.  This will aid the adjacent sectors 250 points its next battle.

We did play another battle today; the western front.  Skaramunga himself led the assault on the Imperial sector.  The Imperials did all they could and held out for 4 turns, but to no avail.  The battle was heavily favored in Skaramunga's Warhost and he swamped the defenders easily.

Ork movement can be traced on these maps:

The Orks have captured 5 sectors thus far.  The Imperial garrison have the utmost confidence in there capability to handle the Ork invasion.  They are not seeking any aid at this point.

Strategium Turn 2 will start next week.  Wish us luck!

Strategium Turn 1

After much contemplation, the Imperial Guard Commander decides to support a neighboring sector for an oncoming assault.  The Orks have made two assault moves; one on the eastern front and the other from the west.

Here is map detailing the movements:

Assault moves initiate a combat (self explanatory), which two Ork armies did.  While the mechanized army decided to muster for a turn, which increases his army list by 75 points.

The Imperial Commander army decided to support the eastern assault.  How that works; I make an allied force organization chart list from the Imperial Commander's army.  And treat the WHOLE army as a single reserve.

An upcoming battle report will detail the battle fought for the Imperial Sector.  May the Emperor Protect.

The Orks have arrived

The Orks have landed!  They have made planet fall in three locations.  The western front with Warboss Skaramunga and his warhost, and two eastern armies; One mechanized and the other led by a Weirdboy.

Here is a detailed map were the Orks have made planet fall and where we've lost all communication.  The Imperial Commander has dispatched an army to meet the eastern threat, which means our western front is all but defenseless.  We must rely on the garrisoned Imperial Guardsmen to slow Warboss Skaramunga... Emperor save them...
